Entre-Deux-Mers is an exact translation of "between two seas" and refers to the area between Bordeaux's Garonne and Dordogne rivers. This is a dry, vibrant white wine blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle varietals and aged on its lees. Juicy with lemon grass, lemon-lime citrus zest and tropical fruit flavours - a zesty, mouth filling rollercoaster ride on the palate. Pair with grilled seafood dishes. The wine is a bone-dry and vibrant blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault grapes produced in the saignée method of "bleeding" or siphoning off free-run juice after a short maceration on the skins. Mas des Bressades Cuvée Tradition Blanc 2020, Costières de Nîmes, Rhône A.P., France: Produced by Cyril Marès, Mas des Bressades 2020 is a rich Rhône white blend of 50% Roussanne, 30% Grenache, 10% each of Marsanne and Viognier from the southern-most part of the Rhône with hot summers and over 2,700 hours of sunshine every year, moderated only by cool breezes from the river delta called the Petite Camargue where the Rhône River meets the Mediterranean. The wine is lush, dry and crisp with aromas of white florals, lemon pudding, tropical fruit, honey and stone fruit flavours on the palate. Amazing value at $18. (not Sauron), you don't have to travel to the ends of the earth to find a good value New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc . Yes this is a wine named for JRR Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, which was filmed in beautiful New Zealand (and has since generated an estimated $100 million extra revenue in tourism as a result). Middle-Earth Vineyards was established originally more than half a century ago as a dairy farm. In 1996, the owners converted to grape farming and launched their first wine in 2012.
