Faust Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, Napa Valley, California, United States: Faust 2018 is a big, deep and dark Cabernet Sauvignon produced from grapes sourced from the Huneeus’s family vineyards in Rutherford and Coombsville. Grapes were hand-picked and double-sorted, fermented in stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels as well as aged in French oak barrels (30% new, 70% single use) for 19 months. Rich on the nose with bright dark cherry, raspberry and earthy violet aromas. On the palate the wine is lush, supple with blackberry, cassis, dark chocolate, smoky vanilla, cedar spice and toasty oak flavours. Tannins are structured and firm.
