Heirloom Vineyards Shiraz 2019, Mclaren Vale, South Australia, Australia: Heirloom Vineyards 2019 Shiraz is a wild fermented Shiraz with grapes sourced from the cool-climate McLaren Vale. Look for fresh blackberry, dark cherry, plum, earthy florals and anise spice flavours vibrant on the palate. Tannins are fine-grained. Domaine Durieu Châteauneuf-Du-Pape 2014, Rhone A.C., France: The 2014 vintage of this blockbuster Châteauneuf du Pape is a blend of mainly Grenache grapes along with 10% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre, with some minor bits of other grapes. Robust and towering southern French red wine from the heart of the Rhone Valley, with black and dark red raspberry and blackberry aromas. Violets, anise and dark spices on the palate with a velvet smooth texture and ultra-long finish. Perfect dinner party wine or gift wine. Pair with hearty meat dishes. Will cellar well. Fontanafredda Barolo 2013, Piedmont DOCG, Italy: Vittorio Emanuele II, Italy's first king, bought this winery in 1858 and started making wines. The estate today is now owned by entrepreneur Oscar Farinetti. This northern Italian red is surprisingly nimble and elegant for Barolo, which usually strikes a much deeper chord. Banfi Principessa Gavia Gavi 2017, Piedmont D.O.C.G., Italy: Pure lemon sunshine in this zesty Italian white wine from Vigne Regali (Gavi)! Finishes crisply with notes of chives and lemon. The ancient story says that the Principessa Gavia, daughter of the King of the Franks, had a village and a wine named after her. Clean, crisp and refreshing with terrific mouth-watering acidity for seafood and salads. Medium-bodied layers of pleasure in this DOCG wine. This would also be a great aperitif. Produced by Vigne Regali Banfi, this Italian white wine is made from the local Cortese grape and offers lots of refreshment. Lots of minerality and acidity. Barone Ricasoli Rocca Guicciarda Riserva Chianti Classico 2015, Tuscany D.O.C.G., Italy: This is the 2015 vintage from the Tuscany wine region, Barone Ricasoli Rocca Guicciarda Riserva is a full-bodied Chianti Classico. Lot of ripe dark fruit with dried herbs and spicy chocolate flavours on the palate. Lots of mouth-watering acidity as well. A smooth classic Chianti with aromas of dark fruit, sun-dried tomato and dried herbs. Mouth-watering acidity for a wide range of dishes from pasta in tomato sauce to spicy sausages. This wine is a blend of mostly Sangiovese grapes, with a little Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Finishes with baking spices, dried herbs. Pair with game meats, Italian sausage or meats sauces. Seven Falls Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon 2015, Wahluke Slope, Columbia Valley, Washington, United States: The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for this Washington State red came from Wahluke Slope. The Seven Falls name is in honour of the falls that flowed into the Columbia River. This is a superb Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon, with attractive aromas of fleshy black plum and mocha.
