KWV The Mentors Shiraz 2012, Paarl W.O., South Africa: A savoury, juicy, meaty red wine with seductive aromas of dried herbs, bacon fat and wild blackberry. This certainly has the power of South African fleshy ripened fruit but there's elegance here too, balance, finesse and a deep and abiding savouriness. Finishes with wood smoke. Pair with roast beef. Full-bodied, but not heavy with notes of ripe dark red fruit. this wine is a blend of Grenache (otherwise known as Grenache), Tempranillo, Cariñena and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
