Le Clos Jordanne Talon Ridge Vineyard Pinot Noir 2009, V.Q.A., Niagara Peninsula, Vinemount Ridge, Ontario, Canada: Vintages Wine Panel: An exceptionally strong showing from Le Clos Jordanne in a banner Pinot vintage. Opens with a complex nose of wet stone, wild raspberry, sour cherry, earth, woodsmoke and a hint of new leather. Dry, with a savoury fruit core, vibrant acidity, and a backing of nicely structured tannins. Long, layered finish. This will evolve in fine form over 3-5 years, or enjoy it tonight. My note: Tastes mature already with dried herbs and black cherry. Mouth-watering and most full-bodied but super smooth. Drink: 2011-2016. 143545 13.50% XD 750 mL $40.00 Score: 90/100.
