Black Hills Estate Winery Syrah 2013, Okanagan Valley British Columbia BC V.Q.A., Canada: Yet another spectacular vintage for the Black Hill Syrah! Then again, that's what you expect from one of Canada's best wineries. This is a luxurious, super-packed and concentrated red wine made from Syrah grapes. Caliterra Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2013, Colchagua Valley, Chile: Fleshy ripe purple and black plums on the nose and palate of this full-bodied, smooth Chilean red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. San Pedro Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2013, Maipo Valley, Chile: Savoury, feral, rich, dark and brooding South African red wine made from classic Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The grapes were harvested by hand in mid April and underwent a cold maceration of 5 days followed by a longer one of 25 days. The wine was aged in French oak barrels (95%) and America oak (5%). Le Gravillas Gigondas 2013, Rhône A.C., France: A robust, smoky southern French red wine blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Savoury and lip-smacking juicy with great depth and length. Château Suduiraut 2011, Sauternes, Bordeaux A.C., France: Apricot golden goodness and peach preserve lovely. Tenuta Degli Dei Cavalli 2010, Tuscany I.G.T., Italy: Full-bodied, complex with great detailing and lines. This is a classic that will do well in the cellar or on the runway to your dinner table.
