Torres Viña Esmeralda 2013, Catalunya, Spain: This wine takes its name from the emerald colour of the Mediterranean. There’s no oak on this aromatic blend of mostly muscat (Moscatel) grapes with some gewürztraminer grapes, that grow in the mountains of north-east Spain. A lovely honeysuckle finish. Simply divine even at triple the price it is. Stunningly lovely white floral notes along with some lychee and white melon. So, so pretty as an aperitif or with fresh seafood. Highly recommended.
