The Foreign Affair Whisky Barrelled Conspiracy 2019, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: From the Niagara Peninsula, Ontario wine region, The Foreign Affair Whisky Barrelled Conspiracy 2019 is a dry and robust red wine blend of 62% Cabernet Franc, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Merlot. As in the Ripasso method that gives extra richness to the wine, this wine was repassed over the skins and lees of the grapes. The wine is fragrant and rich with ripe dark fruits, dark cherry, black currant, cedar brush spice flavours and wrapped up with fresh acidity. Tannins are ripe. Poças Colheita Port 2010, Douro D.O.C., Portugal: From the Douro D.O.C., Poças 2010 is a vegan-friendly Colheita Port produced from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca and Tinto Cão from a single harvest and was aged in oak casks for over seven years. A lovely rich port, bright with Bing cherry, raspberry compote, nut, dried fruit and Christmas cake flavours with a vibrant finish, serve it lightly chilled or at room temperature with creamy blue cheeses, roasted nuts or Christmas pudding.
