This lovely, sweet dessert wine is lush with orange blossom, ripe apricot, peach compote, citrus zest flavours balanced with vibrant acidity, silky and fresh on the palate. A beautifully balanced, dry and full-bodied red wine blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault lush and juicy with pink florals, violets, ripe dark cherry, raspberry, dried sweet tobacco leaf, anise and cracked black pepper spice with a textured and long, harmonious finish. Château de Tréviac 2020, Corbières, Languedoc A.P., France: From the sub-appellation of Corbières in the Languedoc wine region, Château de Tréviac 2020 is an amazing value 70% Syrah and 30% Grenache red wine blend at $18. Dry, full-bodied and drinking delicious now, look for ripe dark berry fruit, plum, dark cherry, savoury herbs and cracked pepper spice flavours on this generous southern France red. The wine finishes with a lingering flinty mineral finish and tannins are velvety. Absolutely lovely now, enjoy it with grilled lamb dishes. Archimedes Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California, United States: From Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Archimedes 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is so named after the Greek mathematician Archimedes who, about 2,000 years ago, established the laws of physics. Archimedes' principle, a law of physics, indicates that the upward buoyant force that is exerted on a body immersed in a fluid is equal to the weight of the fluid that the body displaces. I guess that includes grapes as well. Love this Cab with dark berry, dark cherry, black olive and minty, savoury aromas and flavours supple on the palate. Tannins are velvety and rounded. Half of the wine was fermented in French oak barrel with the balance in stainless-steel tank. Chardonnay food pairings: roast turkey, goat cheese and fresh greens salad, pan-fried scallops.
