Susana Balbo Signature Torrontés 2018, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina: From Susana Balbo's an oaked Torrontés that tastes more like a Viognier, probably because it was fermented in new French oak barrels. Not only that, wine grapes were hand-harvested and macerated with dry ice for 6 hours retaining fruit freshness. Fragrant with white florals, ripe melon, soft orange, pink grapefruit, lime, slightly herbal with spicy flavours on the palate and finishing with a salty tang. Nicely done.
