Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Perfect timing with this super-fresh ESV Riesling (2023) from Lunessence Winery and Vineyard with an intense nose of fresh sliced apples, pear, cinnamon and anise spice with delicate, citrusy and minerally flavours on the palate.

Perfect for a hot summer's day or picnic, the wine is medium-bodied and whets your appetite with a touch of residual sugar to balance out its eye-winking acidity (for food) and finishes long and sassy.

Chill and enjoy it with smoked salmon Bennies, brunch dishes or a cheese fondue. We tried it with a ripe Cambozola cheese, fresh cut pears and some red fig jam on a baguette, it was a fantastic and yummy pairing. The acidity on the wine was a beautiful balance to the richness of the cheese and that titch of sweetness complimented the Cambozola's savouriness. Tasted August 2024.

Grapes for this vintage were sourced and hand-harvested from organically grown vines from the winery's Summerland Bench Estate vineyard.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
