Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Absolutely spectacular. I brought this incredible Okanagan Valley, B.C. Sangiovese to the Atlas Steak and Fish house for a celebration dinner with a friend, and she brought a Sangiovese from William Hill Vineyard (Reserve) 2019 from Napa Valley, California, so that we could do a taste comparison. In all fairness, I asked for my bottle of Sangiovese to be opened and placed in a brown paper bag to be tasted blind so there would be no preconceived ideas about the wine. After all, who makes a Sangiovese in British Columbia? Well, Summerhill Pyramid Winery did and the 2014 knocked her wine socks off. Dark, rich and so fragrant with ripe cherry, earthy florals, meaty and muscular with dark cherry, dried mushroom, pepper spice, dry, medium-plus-bodied with medium-plus acidity and finishing long with fine slightly grippy and dusty tannins on the palate. And, although it could have easily cellared for another couple of years, alas, there is no more :( Tasted January 2023.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
