Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Another Villa Annaberta wine crafted with approachability and sustainability in mind. This lovely, rich, supple Amarone is the reward of attention to detail at every step in the process - from the grapes grown at 400 meters altitude to the hand harvesting and strict grape selection to the 500 meter high state of the art drying facility. Fermentation takes place over 30 days or so in a cool, temperature controlled environment. Follow that up with 24 months in barrique or tonneau and you get a fresh, concentrated wine. Smooth and full-bodied with layers of plum, dried cherry, hints of leather and sweet hay. The elegance and concentration here, along with a long, satisfying finish belie the entry level price for this Amarone. This wine makes me want to head to the kitchen to check on the ingredients for short ribs, lamb shanks or ossobuco. Tasted November 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com

This Amarone is elegance in a glass. A gentle nose with plum, hints of raisin and ever so restrained warm, sweet hay. The palate is actually fresh and clean with dark plums and very fine tannins adding texture. Full bodied and smooth and beautifully balanced. The delights on the nose and palate wind up with a long, lingering finish. This was a beautiful companion to Venetian Duck Ragu and Bigoli. Tasted August 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
