Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Haywire Winery Free Form Sauvignon Blanc is deep yellow in the glass, leesy and honeyed on the nose and palate, dry, medium-plus-bodied for a Savvy and complex with tropical fruit, poached apple, pear, pink grapefruit zest, dried fine herbs and briny mineral flavours chalky textured and bright on the palate.

Produced in stainless steel tank and amphora with native yeasts. Aged on its skins for nine months, then pressed off and left to ponder for an additional two months and bottled unfiltered. Yes, there is particulate in this wine and light chalky tannins on it as well. A free form SB to be sure, complex, structured, but delicate and zesty all at the same time. Tasted August 2023.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
