Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Well, this one went down easy! Lovely and delicate, Muschel Kalk SIlvaner 2018 is just dry, light-bodied, and silky on the palate with yellow plum, lemongrass, fresh melon, soft citrus flavours with a medium-length finish on a mineral note. Elegant with balanced acidity and perfect for seafood dishes.

I love the Bocksbeutel shape bottle, a pot-bellied shape bottle with a flattened ellipsoid, and very practical (difficult to roll this bottle over by mistake). The shape has been used since the early 18th century for wines from Franconia. Within the EU, the Bocksbeutel enjoys the status of a “protected bottle shape.” Described as a short-necked glass bottle, pot-bellied but flattened in shape, the Bocksbeutel may be used for German wines of QbA and Prädikatswein status from Franken and certain wine districts in Baden. Tasted June 2022.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
