Alana L rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Beautifully named for the morning coastal fog that is lured inland from San Francisco Bay and that moderates the climate, Wente Vineyards Morning Fog Livermore Valley Chardonnay 2019 is a beautiful, fresh Chardonnay that has an incredible ‘value for price’ point! Fermented 50/50 in neutral American oak and stainless steel and ageing on its lees, it’s hyper fresh and crisp and is a good Chardonnay for the ABC (‘anything but Chardonnay’) crowd with its balance, body, structure and bright freshness! It has fruit (apple, pear, lime), white flowers and toasty, spicy notes.

Think barbecue grilled shrimp with a citrus sauce, grilled vegetables or smoky eggplant with con salsa!

California leads the world in Chardonnay, its most planted variety and was the first in the world to bottle Chardonnay under varietal labeling, establishing the practice for all of the New World, and its unique clonal selections for the variety are now grown around the world.

Tasted as part of the "California Wine Month: Classics of California Chardonnay", an interactive panel discussion and tasting considering California’s classics of Chardonnay, its unique history, and its range of styles from different parts of the state; hosted by writer and speaker, Elaine Chukan Brown and California Wines and featuring panelists Ivo Jeramez, Director of Winemaking, Grgich Hills; Niki Wente, Fifth Generation Winemaker, Viticulture, Wente Vineyards and Kristen Barnhisel, Winemaker - White Wines, J.Lohr.

Cheers!

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
