Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Part of the recently designated Thompson Valley G.I., Celista Estate Winery is a 160-acre winery and farm with cozy cabin rentals, Icelandic horses that work the land and seven acres planted in Riesling, Ortega, Siegerrebe, Marechal Foch and Gamay Noir grapes. The first vines were planted in 2002 and now Marg and Jake Ootes are proud owners and operators of this multi-award winning winery. Lee Holland is the winemaker at Celista and has been making wine there for the past 11 years and has garnered several wine awards during this time. Marg’s Rosé 2019 was awarded Double Gold, Blush Style in the 2020 All Canadian Wine Awards Competition and Silver in the 2020 Experience Rosé Wine Competition in the United States.

A pretty pink-coral in the glass, the rosé is fragrant with honeysuckle, white florals, bright raspberry and strawberry aromas. Marg’s Rosé is a juicy blend of Ortega, Siegerrebe and a touch of Marechal Foch wine grapes. Off-dry, medium-bodied with honeyed melon, ripe red berry, bright wild strawberry and subtle fine-herb flavours on the palate. Enjoy it well-chilled on its own, or with brunch dishes. We paired it with double-smoked salmon. The winery suggests a honey ham and pork medallions pairing. Tasted August 2020.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
