Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

2027 (owned by Kevin Panagapka and Jodie Raymond) are part of a new wave of premium winemaking professionals that are what is called a 'virtual winemaker.' Essentially, to ease the start-up cost of winemaking, they purchase premium fruit from lots they feel have potential and produce bottlings using the equipment and time rented from others.
Ruby red, garnet towards the core.
Aromatics of Cherry, blackberry, plum, cinnamon stick, chicory, coffee, vanilla. Pretty, with some rose, as it opens up. Reductive closure (screwcap) means it needs some airtime to unfold.
2013 was a sunny and cheerful vintage that produced some tasty wines, after a harsh start to the season. This wine is typical of the vintage. Sunny fruit, underscored by savoury. Some nice cherry, red plum, and berry. Some licorice, rose, amd subtle oaky smokiness. Great complexity. Just sit and contemplate over this wine.
The name 2027 comes from one plot that is exclusively theirs. So, even though they are 'virtual,' the goal is to establish themselves. They show off great Burgundian style in their Pinot and Chard, so they're establishing themselves in more ways than one. Put this beauty alongside piripiri chicken and roasted corn. This would also be really nice with fall soups.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
