Natalie's Score: 89/100

The sweet peach and pear notes are there but balanced by racy, nervy acidity that makes this wine a lovely sip. Pair with glazed ham and chutney. Medium-bodied and delicious.

Riesling food pairings: fried chicken, vegetable curry, fish tacos.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Minerality and citrus aromas, followed by ripe peach, apple and citrus with mineral touches. Dry and silky with elegant finish.
Tasted August 2016
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A racy QbA Riesling from the Rheingau alive with typicity of the grape and region. Oxidized apple, caramel apple, flint, petrol, and blossoms. This is a light-bodied wine at just 10% abv and slight frizzante detected. Lingering oxidized apple core finish. Serve well chilled and enjoy as an appetizer or with just about anything. Aging nicely in bottle and will continue to evolve over the next 10 years.
Tasted: August 2016
This Riesling from the Rheingau Qualitätswein is lush with peach, apricot, ripe apple, caramel, petrol and orange blossoms. Schloss Schonborn Estate (2011) has it all with balance, grace and a nervy acidity. Excellent now and with any pork tenderloin or pork roast dish. - Community Wine Reviews
