Pitch black, dark, brooding and concentrated with toasty oak and chary black fruit. Full-bodied and juicy with layers of mouth-watering flavours: blackberry pie and black plums. Smooth and terrific. Loaded with toasty oak. Dark purple hue with accented highlights of lavender around the edges. Aromas of black cherry, cassis and dried herbs on the finish. Great party wine. Decant 2 hours. Pair with grilled meats.

Shiraz food pairings: grilled meats, vegetables, fajitas.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

An old vine Shiraz with lots of ripe red fruit and spice on the nose. The palate gives dark fruit, eucalyptus and spice with good acidity and balance. Serve with grilled red meats or fajitas. If you want to impress at a party without spending a bundle, this is your wine.

Fantastic for the price! Full-bodied and juicy with layers of mouth-watering blackberry and black plum flavours. This single site wine is produced by Baron Von Nemesis in the heart of the Barossa Valley. Zonte's footstep represents generations of grape growers who had never made Shiraz in the Barossa Valley. These grapes come from a tiny parcel of old vine shiraz between Williamstown and Lyndoch in the Barossa Valley on rich ancient alluvial soils on the hillside above St. Jacob's Church. Pair with grilled pork chops. - Community Wine Reviews
