Reviews and Ratings

Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A blend of 90% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.

A very stylish Ribera del Duero. Deep ruby in colour, the nose is intense and moderately complex featuring ripe black cherry, plum, cassis and blackberry fruit, underscored by licorice spice, meaty nuances and hints of citrus. The palate shows lovely balance, with fresh acidity nicely ofsetting the vibrant black fruit core. This is a dense, structured, full-bodied red with muscular tannins that need time in cellar (or pairing with red meat) to soften. The oak is beautifully managed - 12 months in 2-year old French oak barrels - acting more to frame the palate than add flavour. Great value for the price!
