Greg Hughes rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

An absolute rarity on the market is Hunter Valley Shiraz. This zone is rather close to Sydney, making it a popular tourist destination. This has the unfortunate effect of severely limiting what is commercially exported - most of it never makes it past the cellar door before purchase.
Ripe, but less sugarripe than a Barossa - much more spicey and ruminating (Hunter harvests earlier = loads of structure). It has loads of phenolic ripeness and power, but elegant and graceful aromatics. Deep deep garnet colouration.
The aromas are full of aged Aussie notes - caramel, leather, cherry coulis, and 5-spice.
The flavours are so youthful, still. This could keep quite a while longer. Loads of dark berry and currant. Hickory, smoke, vanilla, and eucalyptus.
Pair it with elk carpaccio, with radish and pepper jelly.
I am very fortunate to have been able to try this at the Australian High Commission. My thanks to their genuine enthusiasm and warm hospitality.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
