Natalie's Score: 95/100 A gorgeous, opulent Chilean Syrah of the best pedigree. Structure, density, concentration and complexity all play roles in this wine, with intense replay of fleshy dark plums and berries across the palate (and mind). Perfect for grilled pork chops.

Reviews and Ratings
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review: Aromas of very ripe raspberries, mint, violets, plum, new leather, and sweet spices. Lots of complexity with a great balance between fruit and wood. The taste is very similar, with nice acidity and grippy tannins. A great value.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: Deep, pure aromas of plum, blackberry, and blueberry with some eucalyptus and mint. You can tell this wine is concentrated and can last a while. Very full bodied, and a little mouthwatering at fist but lingers with deep fruit and ending with some herbal notes. This wine opens up the longer it's in my glass, so decanting would probably help this wine open up sooner.
Terry Jeans - Certified S rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: Ripe red fruit with leather and spice make the nose quite complex. This is a full-bodied wine that has nice juicy, rich blackberry and cigar box flavours. Very nice balance and tannins as well.
Mary Anne van Gaal rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: This Syrah has a nice deep colour with lots of legs! Aromas of plum, dark berries and leather greet the nose while flavours of cranberry, coffee and spice linger on the palate. This well balanced wine will pair well with soft cheeses and red meats.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Blackberry, leather and oak on the nose with pepper, mint, oak and black fruit flavors.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Beautiful deep purple colour with aromas of blackberry, plums, leather and spice. Rich fruit and spice on the palate as well with pronounced tannins. Give it some time to open up.
Marco Giovanetti rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review: Aromas of ripe black fruit with peppery nuances. Wild herbs and some sweet oak. Full body with a good acidity. Flavors of blackcurrant, green mint and eucalyptus. Tannic finale.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review: Deep purple with a fragrant nose of clove, black berry, roasted beets, and lavender. The palate is full bodied with a refreshing acidity. Drinking well now and will improve over the short to medium term in the cellar. Drink 2015-2020. Tasted October 2014. 88 points. This Chilean Syrah shows its coastal origin as in both the balance and elegance as well as its focus. The vines for this wine grow just 12 kilometres or 7.5 miles from the Pacific Ocean. They grow in the clay-black slate-schist soils of the Manzanares Vineyard which lends deep minerality to the wine. They were planted back in 2005. The grapes were picked early in the morning during harvest, then cold-soaked and fermented at 24-28 degrees Celsius (75-82 degree Fahrenheit) in stainless steel tanks. The wine was aged for 14 months in French oak barrels. Wow. - Community Wine Reviews
