Lovely, voluptuous and layered with black fruit aromas, silky smooth tannins, and an enveloping sense that all is right with the world. This full-bodied wine is made from 100% Tinto Fino aka Tempranillo. The vineyards are located in the heart of the region on the banks of the Duero River and the wine is aged in French and American oak. Produced by San Roque de La Encina.

Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A very yummy full bodied wine with lots of fruit (black berry, black raspberry, plums). lots of oak (cedar, vanilla, herbs), and some very nice tannins. I had this with spicy Italian sausages, and while the tannins boosted the spiciness of the food a bit, the pairing was quite nice, especially for those who like spices.
This full-bodied red wine won a Gold Medal at the 2013 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. The winery was founded in 1956, and the estate vines are over 25 years old on average. Made from 100% Tempranillo grapes. - Community Wine reviews
