Jane LeFresne reviewed this wine as follows:

Why I Tried this Wine: Another wine from my current sommelier course list. Interesting fact, this winery was opened in 1750 during the reign of King Louis XV, that’s a pretty long history.

Tasting Notes: cherry colour

Aromas of raspberry, cherry, spices with hints of smoke, earth and vanilla.

Flavours of sour cherry, raspberry and coffee.

This wine has a grippy mouthfeel with a long tannic finish.

Food Pairing: lamb, pork and duck.

Would I buy this Wine Again: This wouldn’t be the first Pinot Noir I grab off the shelf but if you like big bold wines that have high acidity and tannins, this wine is for you.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
