A spectacular, savoury blend of 38% grenache, 36% shiraz and 26% mourvèdre grapes that all come from the coveted Barossa Valley and were handpicked from 50-120 year old, dry-farmed vines. Gorgeous black fruit, bacon and mouth-brightening energy. Wow!

Grenache Shiraz Mourvèdre food pairings: roasted lamb, game birds.

Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The 2010 Grant Burge ‘The Holy Trinity’ wine is sourced from 50 to 120 year old Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre vines in 38-36-26 % proportions that were aged in French Oak for a total of 18 months prior to bottling. It has intense aromas of green pepper, stems, dates on the nose and red currant, dates and yogurty plums on the palate. It is medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine; with forward acidity, refined tannins (decant between 1-2 hours) and a long finish. Enjoy with food; drink 2014/15-2018+. My impression: NICE, 89 pts. Tasted Dec/13.
