What a spectacular evening we had in Toronto last week at the Wolf Blass tasting! A full-house of 90 guests packed the waterside restaurant Against the Grain. As I interviewed Wolf about his experiences, we tasted his wines and some delicious tapas. More details on the event as well as the Canada AM clip below …
Here’s the clip from Canada AM … Wolf has a great sense of humour and such a long history in the wine industry.
Wolf talks about the wines we’re tasting as did the current winemaker Chris Hatcher.
George Samios of Wolf Blass also shared his experiences …
Nina Syas, one my my favourite wine friends and bloggers, attended the evening along with another great wine friend Dan Trcka. All the photos are courtesy of Nina and Dan. You can find their excellent blog posts about the event on their sites: Nina Wine Travel and Grape Selections.
The food was amazing … yes this was supposed to be just “tapas” … 8 wines, 4 dishes, an entertaining speaker and a signed book for $75. Good value, I think.
Wolf has such great stories to tell … I believe that’s the best way to learn about wine.
The crowd was very lively, especially as the evening went on … they asked some great questions.
I’m looking forward to tonight’s tasting in Ottawa with 120 guests at Restaurant 18. Next time, we’ll do a couple of events per city as we had requests for another 70 tickets on the waitlist.
I’ll post my reviews of the wines we tasted soon.
