Every summer Tinhorn Creek Vineyards hosts the Canadian Concert Series.
These concerts feature up and coming Canadian talent over the summer months and close off the season in September with a highly recognized Canadian performer.
The first concert of the season kicked off with an amazing performance by up-and-coming indie/jazz singer Ali Milner. At only 19 years of age Ali Milner delivers pure sound and amazing vocal depth, with a modern edge for a classic genre that has been described as shades of Sam Cooke and Nora Jones rolled into one. Next up in the Canadian Concert Series is Bend Sinister on Saturday June 25th at 7pm. Bend Sinister formed in Kelowna, BC in 2001 and became a household name before moving to Vancouver to take the next step in their career. They play a wide range of music from progressive to psychedelic, rock to pop; their sound is always honest and original.
On Saturday July 23rd The Matinee makes a stop in the Tinhorn Creek amphitheatre. They describe their music as roots rock that is “music to drink to, music to dance to and music to sit on the porch and ponder.” They were recently named as one of the top 20 bands of the 2011 Peak Performance Project (over 360 bands applied).
On August 27th the Odds will bring their alternative rock experience to the amphitheatre. They have opened for the Barenaked Ladies and the Tragically Hip and performed the theme music for the television series Kids in the Hall. For 2010 and 2011 the Odds were named the house band for the Vancouver Canucks during the playoffs.
Last, but certainly not least, the Tinhorn Creek Canadian Concert Series proudly hosts a k-os as the Grand Finale Concert on Saturday, September 10th. He is a “genuine neo-crossover rap n’ roller who’s music, much like your iPod, might speak to hipster club kidz, pop chart gazers, Canadian indie rockers, dirty south electronic rap renegades, or reggae rude boys simultaneously.”

Tickets for all concerts are available from Tinhorn Creek by phone (888.484.6467) or online. All concerts start at 7pm (gates open at 6:30pm). Miradoro Restaurant will be offering several different BBQ food options to purchase and Tinhorn Creek wines will be available to purchase by the glass or bottle. Miradoro also offers dinner and concert packages for those wishing to sit on their patio during the concert.
