Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A lovely near powerful sparkling wine with a powerful price quality ratio. Showing noted yeasty elements along with some more aged characteristics (ie. honey) plus melon and apple. If you need a reason to celebrate to open a sparkling - how about celebrating the quality of this sparkling wine as the excuse?
Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Straw coloured with delicate bubbles. Aromas of baked pear, apple pie, biscuit, and spearmint. Flavours of baked apple, biscuit, citrus, and mint with a bitter and lingering nutty finish. Medium bodied and very creamy on the palate.

Tasted October 2018

Wine-Food Pairing: Enjoyable on its own, with fried chicken, or with other salty fried food.
What great value on this Crémant D'alsace from that region! Wolfberger Brut is made in the traditional method as in the making of Champagne at one-third of the price. Pale straw in the glass, on the nose this sparkler has notes of cream, fresh pastry and soft lemon zest. On the palate, it is dry, medium-bodied with citrus zest, light tropicals, baked apple and finishes with a zesty acidity. Great on its own, or pair it with seafood hors d'oeuvres. - Community Wine Reviews
