This is a creative and delicious take on icewine, traditionally made from vidal or riesling in a white wine style. This cabernet franc icewine offers luscious aromas and flavours of wild strawberry and raspberry, yet it's not cloying.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Beautiful sweet nose full of fresh baked apple pie, cinnamon, and cran-apple. Palate, medium sweet, mouth watering, would make a great pairing with full flavoured cheeses, or try with strawberry shortcake, apple pie and vanilla ice cream. This is a terrific alternative to Ice Wine given the lighter body, and attractive price.
Tasted December 2013. 92 pts.

The wine begins with a bouquet
of fresh strawberry confit, barley
sugar, and a pleasing savoury herbal
element. The intense red berry
palate is lifted and balanced by a
pronounced brisk acidity, leading to
a medium length finish. Try alongside
saltier, astringent cheeses.
