Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

An affordable Pinot Noir with a fruit forward, balanced approach and mouthwatering acidity. Cherry, mocha, savoury. Tasted 2010 vintage in August 2018. 89 points
Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Matured beautifully for 10 years. Garnet in colour. Rich scents of cherry, raspberry and cassis led the bouquet on this pinot noir. On the palate, red berry flavours were complemented by fig and cedar notes to nice effect. Medium bodied, soft, grippy tannins and a long fruit finish, too. Delicious. Domaine Roux Pere & Fils has been crafting wine in France’s Bourgogne wine region since 1885. Enjoy.

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Tasted in 2020. This is an affordable Pinot Noir that is still showing some life 10 years in. Aromas of cherry, graphite, and leather. Medium bodied and bright on the palate with some light tannins, still quite vibrant fruit, and more hints of leather on the finish. Enjoy with dried salumi and strong cheese.
Terrific value-priced Pinot Noir with aromas of cherry, cinnamon, floral and biscuit. Dry, crowd-pleasing, fine and fruity red Burgundy that can age 2-3 years, though no need when it’s this good already. Source: Vintages Wine Catalogue.
