Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This pinot noir deserves a curtain call. Crafted by small volume producer Queenston Mile Vineyard, it poured pale ruby and delivered a delicious, nuanced aroma and flavour experience, featuring layers of mature red and dark berries and cherries that were enhanced with earthiness and traces of cedar. Firm tannins added character and punctuation to this pinot’s medium bodied frame. The long aftertaste was fruit focused. Enjoy.

Pam Hatton rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Garnet red paling at the rim. Dust and barnyard aromas hit you on first whiff. They open up to red cherry, cranberry and mushroom. A medium weight Pinot Noir has lots of fresh red fruit on the palate with lively acidity and velvet tannins. A long finish hints at leather, pepper with a sweet cherry drop finish. Give it some time to open up. Some cellar time will reward with more complexity.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Vibrant and flavourful Pinot Noir. Aromas of red cherry, cranberry, leather, earth and smoke. Medium bodied with bright and balanced acidity, lots of ripe berries on the palate, and some earthy, smoky hints on the finish. Enjoy with grilled pork or rustic mushroom dishes. Tasted again in 2023, more soil and earthy hints are emerging on this wine, but still predominant berry hints. Tannins are very soft and subtle. I would say it's aging quite well!
From St. David's Bench, Niagara-On-The-Lake wine region, Queenston Mile 2017 Pinot Noir is estate-bottled. Look for bright cherry, beet root and cedar brush spice on this medium-bodied PN with grippy tannins and would benefit from a couple of years cellaring. Better in 2021. - Community Wine Review
