Reviews and Ratings

Pam Hatton rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Deep dense ruby almost garnet red to the rim. Fresh red and black fruit of cherry, plum and blackberry, sweet cherry drops and eucalyptus on the nose give the impression of Halls but in a nostalgic good way. Fresh red and black fruit deliver on the palate with a round mouth feel, silky tannins and a medium but hot finish. The fresh acidity keeps the wine from being a jam-jar.
Wineboy rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Lovely fruit driven nose with a more oak influenced palate. More tannins than expected from a Cali Merlot - lovely but unexpected. A touch of warmth on the finish make it a nice "by itself" wine or with a winter stew.
Pepper Tree 2016 is an estate-grown Merlot from the Wrattonbully wine region. Smooth, juicy and lots of plum, cherry, ripe raspberry and well-integrated toast oak spice on the palate. Well-balanced with velvety tannins and good acidity for food. Enjoy now and pair with a pork tenderloin Wellington. - Community Wine Reviews
