Very nice! Fat, luscious aromas and flavours of melon. Not herbal (thank-you). I like it a lot, and the price even better. Bring on summer, bring on refreshment.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: lean, white-fleshed fish with mild flavours, oysters, fresh green salads, goats milk cheeses and chicken pates.

Reviews and Ratings

Lesley Quinn - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

With fresh pink grapefruit aromas this is one of the best Canadian Sauvignon Blanc's I have tasted. The mild acidity and ripe long lasting fruit flavours make it very enjoyable. I tried it with poached sea bass in a lemon and ginger sauce, for a tangy yet smooth pairing.
A grapefruit edge, the fruit sensations lasting well into the finish before flinty mineral characteristics dominate. Will age 3-5 years but becoming more mineral-like after the first 1-2 years.
Made from fruit sourced from Short Hills and Twenty Mile Bench vineyard locations.
Harvest Date: September 18th, 23rd, & 26th, 2011
Yields of 3 to 4 Tonnes /acre (~50-70 hL/ha)
Fermentation in stainless steel at cool temperatures yields a wine with oodles of aromatic fruit.
