From the Rioja wine region, Viña Real Gran Reserva 2015 is rich on the nose and palate with layers of mocha, dark cherry, plum, citrus and savoury herb flavours concentrated on the palate. The wine was aged for 24 months in French and American oak barrels. Tannins are fine-grained and polished. Good now, but will continue to evolve in bottle over the next few years.

Food pairings: hearty soups, hearty meat stews, pork tenderloin.
