Shiraz food pairings: beef stew with root vegetables, lamb cutlets with pepperade and goat cheese, hamburgers, pizza, black bean soup.

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Rich, elegant and complex. The Two Hands Samantha's Garden Shiraz is a full bodied Aussie Shiraz with intense inviting aromas of black plum, red cherry, jammy raspberry, eucalyptus, leather and baking spice. The palate is gloriously smooth with dominant flavours including intense black berry fruit concentration, dark chocolate, cedar and spice. Tannins and acidity and are nicely balanced and complementary. The finish is long with jammy minted fruit notes. Overall, this wine shows structure, a remarkable complexity of flavours, unique Aussie Shiraz typicity, balance and length. This wine perfect for special occasions. Enjoy pairing with roasted rack of lamb. Tasted July 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Michael Twelfree and Richard Minz are the two winemakers for the Two Hands Winery and "Samantha's Garden" 2013 is so named after Twelfree's wife, Samantha. This is a deep and dark shiraz. Actually opaque purple in the glass. On the nose, the wine is raspberry jam, spicy autumn forest floor with more of same on the palate finishing with dark chocolate and mint. - Community Wine Reviews
