Terrific structure and concentration of flavour in this value-priced Chilean Cabernet. Aromas of ripe blackberry and cassis wrapped in smoke. Pair with prime rib.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: Marbled red meats, fine cheeses, duck confit, rosemary lamb ribs or oven roasted goat (Strong foods with high fatty content).

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A powerhouse Cab Sauv - vinified with fruit from the Intriga estate, vines aged over 50 years in Maipo Valley, Chile. 14.5% ABV. If this wine could talk, it would scream for a pairing with a thick cut AAA rare steak with a side of butter sautéed mushrooms. Well balanced, medium plus - integrated tannins, fruit, acidity. Full bodied and ready to enjoy. Drinking well at present. A huge value for money. Accessibly priced and well structured. A buy by the case option for value seekers. Blackberry, strawberry, cassis, eucalyptus. Tasted 2014 vintage Dec 2017. 92 points. #valuewine
With a deep cherry red color this wine has tremendous aromatic complexity and a heightened expression of Cabernet
fruit. In the mouth is highly concentrated and persistent. It's also fresh, with smooth, and delicate tannins. A wine with excellent balance.
