Krone Cuvee Brut (2017) is a sparkling rosé blend of 85% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay made in the traditional method form the Western Cape wine region. The blend rested 10 months on its lees to increase creaminess and structure. This bubble is elegant with floral, red berry and ripe red apple aromas on the nose, bone dry with a persistent small bubbles and creamy mousse on the palate.

Rosé Sparkling food pairings: grilled salmon, seafood bites, spring greens salad.

Reviews and Ratings

Trent Mayers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This good value South African sparkler will grow on you as you drink it, but it needs food to shine. Made by the Cap Classique Method, which means the Traditional Method like Champagne. Food brings out the red cherries, raspberries, minerals, lemons, and grapefruit peel along with a yeasty breadiness and long finish. Being sparkling, it will be a good match for anything from apps to main courses. 4 stars out of 5.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This is a pleasant sparkling rosé blended from 85% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay. Aromas of tart cherry and strawberry, and a hit of a floral note. Dry, with some soft bubbles and nice acidity. Enjoy with salmon.
From Tulbagh, Western Cape wine region, Krone Brut 2017 is produced in the South African traditional method of Méthode Cap Classique. Salmon-pink in the glass, this is an elegant 85% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay wine blend with floral, red berry and ripe red apple aromas on the nose. This bubble is bone dry, elegant with small bubbles and a persistent creamy mousse on the palate. Pair with a duck confit and roasted small potatoes. - Community Wine Reviews
