A medium- to full-bodied chardonnay that's improving every year. I'm still trying to warm up to Canadian oak, but these folks are opening my mind with each successive vintage.

Reviews and Ratings

This is our "feral" Chardonnay- fermented by wild, local indigenous yeast instead of being inoculated with a commercial strain of yeast. The grapes were hand-picked and sorted and then fermentation took place in oak barrels that are made from oak trees that grew along the Grand River in Brantford, ON. The result is a rich and buttery wine that is truly "local" in every sense of the word and represents the best of the region and the vintage.
A local wine in all respects, this Chard uses barrels made from trees grown along the Grand River right here in Ontario. Rich aromas and flavours of apple, pear, pineapple, buttered toast and cinnamon. Generous and round, with lively acidity keeping things fresh. Enjoy with barbecued chicken breast, seared tuna or grilled lobster tail. Source: Vintages Wine Panel

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
