A great value Bordeaux 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc red wine blend under $16. Easy to enjoy with dark plum, cherry, minty, dill, dried sweet tobacco leaf, cedar spice and savoury herb flavours on the palate. Well-made and a fun Wednesday wine. Pair with a pork Wellington or veal chops sautéed in a wild mushroom sauce.

Food pairings: grilled sirloin steak, meat fondue, barbequed ribs.

Chateau Saint-Antoine Reserve du Chateau 2016 is an excellent value Bordeaux red blend. Vibrant on the palate with earthy, dark cherry, bell pepper and spicy flavours on the palate. Tannins are firm. Chateau Saint-Antoine is owned by Chateau Couspaude, maker of a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classe, which benefits from a professional team to create such beautiful wine. - Community Wine Reviews
