From renown producer, Catena, High Mountain Vines 2017 is a dry, full-bodied and well-priced Argentinean Chardonnay. Look for ripe pears, and a soft lingering tropical fruit finish on this zesty Chardonnay. Enjoy now with grilled herbed chicken breasts. The inimitable Laura Catena works with chief winemaker Alejandro Vigil create this beautifully expressive white wine.

Chardonnay food pairings: roasted stuffed chicken, seared scallops, pasta with primavera sauce, fish and chips.

Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Oaky, buttery, creamy tones on the nose. Smooth with light oak on the palate. Approaching the California big, bold & buttery style but restrains itself just in time to avoid being overpowering. Long, pleasant finish. Pair it with strong cheeses or caramelized onion flat breads. Tasted May 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Notes of overripe apple and pear, butter, and oak on the nose. Good body and acidity. Oak takes over the palate and finish, starting with barrel spices, adding butter, and finishing with caramel. About 60% of the wine was aged in oak with lees while the remainder was done in stainless steel. Powerful without being overbearing, best with food. Enjoy alongside meaty fish or grilled chicken.
