Founder, John Weisinger, had the lifetime dream of starting a small artisan winery and fulfilling his life long passion for wine making. He chose the Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon to realize that dream. The first steps toward that goal began with the planting of Weisinger's vineyards in 1979. John and the family spent many summers in the vineyards, tending the young vines. In 1988, with the vision of producing quality wines, the winery and tasting room were built. This year the winery will celebrate two decades of production and being a special destination in Ashland for discriminating wine enthusiasts. In 1995, Eric Weisinger joined the winery and was winemaker from 1997 through 2007. He has since embarked on his personal career as a winemaking consultant.

The winery’s location is on a hill near the vineyards which has always been a special place for the family and friends to watch sunsets, have picnics, and enjoy the view of the valley and mountains.

Today, Weisinger's Winery is a reality, the wines and the business have evolved into a celebrated destination in the Rogue Valley for those seeking a quality wine experience. Weisinger’s is located fourteen miles north of the California border and four miles south of the downtown center of Ashland. You are invited to visit our tasting room, enjoy the quality wine experience we provide, see the beauty of the surrounding valley, and learn why the Rogue Valley is such an exciting place to grow and produce artisan wines.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
