Contact: Sam Crissman

A family owned business that is nestled on the outside of Blairsville. Located in the lower half of the owners - Sam Crissman - home, it has a welcoming atmosphere. The idea of the winery was created by Sam's brother saying that it would be a great cottage winery. So, many months later, Sam agreed. Boy, he sure did know what he was talking about! The winery started in 2007 and every year its growth continues. Many are surprised when they visit the winery. People travel all over to wineries when there is one right in their back yard and they didn't even realize it!

Sam, along with her daughter Jamie, take pleasure it the wineries day to day activities - yes even the wine making. Running a small business, Sam is very willing to help other small businesses within the community grow. She loves making wonderful memories for all who cross her path. Whether it be a special labeled bottle, basket, event set up, etc... Sam leaves a lasting impression on all.

Walnut Hill Winery is much more than a winery!! We feature a unique boutique which include handmade gift items such as jewelry, purses, scarves, wine accessories, herbs and other related merchandise. We are now featuring a local artist exclusively at the winery. Her name is Susan Daugherty. She does cross-stitch frames and paints them as well and hand painted wine glasses. These all are a must see. We have been blessed to add her to our facility.

The Winery offers other amenities such as custom wine labels, gift certificates, gift baskets made to order which come in a variety of sizes to fit all budgets and can be designed especially for you. Having our added tasting room provides ample room for hosting a great party or happy hour. Many have come for their grandparents 80th birthday or their daughters 21st; baby showers and bridal showers; girls night out, game night or date night! The possibilities are endless. We provide heavy hors' devours and a glass of wine per person. What a great way to celebrate any occasion with the ones you love.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
