Be prepared to be amazed! We have just completed construction our new large Concert & Wedding Stage--electric service and lighting to go! While we still have the small stage, we simply have outgrown it for many of our concerts and weddings. Designed by input of customers of Wales Manor, we feel very confident that there is nothing privately owned like it in the State of Texas. The basic lighting system, should be in place by our April 2nd Music Under The Stars Concert with Texas
The lighting system was professionally designed by lighting guru Marc Meisenheimer; from Big Bear, California. When not working as a Lighting Designer and Directer for world-class festivals and jazz concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, Playboy Mansion, or lighting for television/film projects-such as Charmed, Titanic, and Pulp Fiction-to name a few, Marc can be found expanding his photography portfolio while hiking and climbing. The integration of the natural outdoors setting to compliment the stage for concerts and weddings was right down Marc's area of expertise. Wales Manor will be working with Marc to expand upon the basic system to include led lighting, laser, and pyro over the next year. Hopefully, the Stage will also be used for future film projects in the DFW Metroplex.
What do you do with a 150 year old bronze bell from a Catholic Church in South America? You build a 45 foot tall natural rock bell tower to use for weddings/concerts/events. The construction of the tower progressing. Located between the patio area/small concert/wedding stage/new large concert/wedding stage and winery it is always in full view of the audience. Named THE TOWER OF ELEMENTS, it will have hand craved designs of the four elements of the world into the four corners of each entry. Not only will it be celebratory, but serve as a reminder that we owe our existance to our environment, which we must protect and cherish.
WALES MANOR RACING INDY! We were AMAZING in 2010. This is our second season sponsoring the Ryan Beechler Race Team www.ryanbeechler.com. We decided to get serious and have moved the Race Team from McKinney, TX to Springfield, IL to race better venues. 4 USAC Silver Crown Races (To include Silver Crown at Indy during the week of the Indy 500). Sprint Invaders, an American Sprint Car Series. We have 2 cars, three motors, one spare chasis and a DREAM! My bet is on our driver Ryan Beechler.
Wales Manor is concerned about the environment and our carbon footprint. At Wales Manor we make a weekly trip to the recycling plant. We recycle 90% of all of our trash. The vineyards, and lawns use Buffalo Grass as a land cover (only turf grass native to Texas) and we do not irrigate the cover grass. Grape seeds and skins are recovered in wine making process and used as fertilizer for the vines. We use well water with efficient 1 gallon and hour drip emitters to irrigate the vines in the vineyards. In fact, we have a 40 foot deep hand dug artesian well in the vineyard (named AQUA de VINO) that is over 100 years old-it never goes dry and the water stays chilled DONT MESS WITH TEXAS!
