Since the release of our first vintage, we have been determined to produce the best wines we can, reflecting all the beauty and quality of this special place on earth. We rely on unmatched vineyard sites and classic winemaking techniques to create our 29 Estate, Aida Estate and CRU wines. Each of our wines are hand-crafted in small lots in our technologically sophisticated, gravity flow winery and caves in St. Helena.

For those of you who have visited with us and stood on our balcony looking southeast, you have seen the Mediterranean style house and beautiful vineyards of our neighbors, Clare and Cliff Abbey. We are pleased to announce that in late 2008, we acquired Clare and Cliff’s property, including its 7 acres of cabernet sauvignon and 1 acre of cabernet franc vines. We look forward to sharing updates as we integrate this fantastic property into our portfolio and our wine production.

We invite you to explore Vineyard 29 within these pages. From our vineyards, through our winemaking process, to our wines, we look forward to sharing Vineyard 29 with you.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
