Valentine Vineyards is a small family-run winery in Southern Mendocino County, just a quarter of a mile from the Alexander Valley appellation. The vineyard was planted in 1976 by Rodney Strong with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Between 1975 and 1985, the vineyard was operated by Sonoma Vineyards which produced wine from the vineyard under the designation “Haehl Ranch”. In 1987, the vineyard was purchased by Bob Valentine and became Valentine Vineyards.

In addition to growing our own grapes and producing our own wine, Valentine Vineyards also sells grapes to a number of premium California winemakers. Valentine Vineyards is a quality farming operation and we are a long-time grower in Mendocino County with current contracts for the 2006 harvest and beyond. We have many old vines, replanted blocks, and clonal opportunities. Specifically, we have pre-planting opportunities that are available for multi-year contracts. Current plantings include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.
