Two Mile voted 2009 Best Bay Area Winery in the SFGate's Baylist. We've always been about building a community behind the winery, and we can't thank you enough for voting for our eccentric little winery. hat's Two Mile. We produce renowned wines in limited quantities to maintain the true character of the brilliant fruit we find: sangiovese, syrah, petite sirah, and viognier. Many of the wines are produced from organic and biodynamically farmed vineyards -- an investment we make collectively with the small growers we partner with. The wines are balanced, food-friendly, and eminently drinkable, with the personality of an old, charming friend (but not the one who sleeps on your couch). We're proud of what we do and how we do it -- making rare, distinctive wines with our hands and hearts. To order some wine, see what's available on the site, check out our the restaurants and retailers we're proud to be working with, or give us a call and we'll point you in the right direction. The wines really are worth getting to know. Two Mile began as a group of wine and food lovers with a passion for the moments surrounding an exceptional bottle of wine. That sense you get when you open a bottle and take the time to breathe deeply and appreciate both everything the bottle and night have to offer. Those pauses are what make life so wonderful.

We make wine in Berkeley and Alameda, with grapes from Sonoma, Livermore, and the Central Coast. We have unique relationships with our growers, and they grow grapes in the same way we make wine – with their family, their hands, and a passion for what they do. The fruit makes its way to our Berkeley winery an hour after we manage the pick. We're urban, but not in a "we're urban" way -- we simply want to do what's best, with our customers close to the production of the wine. Two Mile is a brand of unique wines, distributed within a small group but meant to be shared vs. hoarded; of a place; of being able to know the people who cared for the grapes, crafted the wine, and created a story; all outside of the traditional wine marketing machine. That's all we can do, and we hope you do it with us.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
