At Turtle Run, experience the passion of winemaking at it's fullest. Whether it's a full bodied red wine, a captivating white, dry, sweet or Port, we put every ounce of passion we have into every wine. With our motto of "exceptional quality wine that goes with food and friends", you can expect us to deliver a wine that will dazzle your senses! Founded in 2000 by Laura and Jim Pfeiffer, Turtle Run Winery has developed key innovations in winemaking including stratified red wine fermentation, the introduction of the French term "terroir" into barrel making, and just recently, a very complex barrel renewal process that, so far, has yielded greater intensity in red wine aging. With more that 25 wines on our list, we're sure we can please the most discriminate palates.

Take a tour of the winery. We'll explain to you in a very non-technical, easy to understand way, the subtleties of the winemaking and aging process. How do barrels made from Minnesota oak differ in flavor from those made from oak grown in Ohio, Tennessee or Kentucky? How does a much more expensive bladder press positively affect the flavors of each wine? How does blending enhance many of the wines at Turtle Run? These questions and many more are answered.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
