In March of 2003, Budge found a permanent home for Tulip Hill Winery at the historic Bartlett Springs water bottling building built by Vittel Mineral Water Co in 1985. After many long days of clean up and renovation, this revamped location became home to Tulip Hill Winery and Visitor Center. Located on the North Shore of Clear Lake, the largest natural lake in California that rests at the base of Mount Konocti, a now dormant volcano, Tulip Hill Winery sits in a stunning and picturesque setting.

On October 2nd, 2004, Tulip Hill Winery celebrated the grand opening of its new location in Nice, California, just across the lake from the temporary Kelseyville facility. This restored rustic establishment now homes Tulip Hill's winery, visitors center & tasting room, special event outdoor tent and lawn area, and gardens planted to seasonal flora in addition to over 30,000 tulips - a sight not to be missed. Our gardens are not to be missed! Please join us on the last Saturday in March for our Festival of Tulips - a delightful day of wine, food, music, and tulips, tulips, tulips. May through September we celebrate the Spring, Summer and beginning of Fall with our Gardent Concert Series. Get these dates and join us for wine, food, and LIVE music in our gardens. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and dance, sing, and dance the night away in our beautiful gardens! Wine will be available for purchase by the glass and bottle.ice Winery - Harvest Up-date! The Chardonnay was higher brix than last year and is now throwing delightful and interesting fruit flavors [pear, banana, citrus] very nice! The fruit was all still cold and arrived very early, 5:30-6:00am. Went directly to the press and was fermented cool, about 55 degrees. We have chilled it even further to about 50 degrees to achieve about 1 brix per day.
Over the course of the last 9 years my role has expanded to overseeing the total BIG picture of our production, brand marketing, national sales and "other duties as needed." I wouldn't have it any other way. I am honored to be working with such an incredible team of people. My time is spent between the winery in Nice and my home in Palm Springs. I also do a fair amount of traveling throughout the country working with our distributor network selling our wines.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
