Triple B Ranches is a family owned business dedicated to growing quality seasonal crops of citrus, hay, and wine grapes. We also produce quality wines to sell to the public. We have been farming in beautiful North County San Diego for over 60 years. In 2008 we finally put words and dreams into action and converted an existing hay barn into a state of the art temperature controlled wine barn.Triple B Ranches wine will be available for sale only after it has reached optimum flavor and lasting quality. The 2008 harvest is now resting in oak barrels developing into a premium wine ready to purchase in 2011.We planted our first block in 1997 after taking some advice from Gary's brother Jim who has been growing grapes in Australia for 30 years now. Our vineyard has been steadily growing ever since. We planted three more blocks of vines the very next year.

All of the vines are planted in stoney sandy loam or granite. We hope that the combination of soil and weather will provide some premium grapes as the vines mature over the years. We currently grow Vermentino, Viognier, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes on our properties in Valley Center and Pauma Valley.Triple B Ranches was founded upon citrus farming. We have been growing a wide variety of citrus on 120 acres of property in Valley Center and Pauma Valley for 60 years. We currently grow Valencia, Naval, and Minneola oranges and Grapefruit. Luckily, our trees only suffered minor frost damage last winter and seem to be happy as ever.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
